There are 2 major Ancient Ancestral Methods of Fire making from 8,000 to 400,000 years ago:

A) FRICTION METHOD = BOW DRILL and HAND DRILL, evidence 6,000 - 8,000 years ago. In this Live Event, we will focus on the BOW DRILL. The major components include: 1. Bow and Cordage 2. Spindle 3. Hearth Board 4. Handhold Bearing Block AND 5. The Magic in the Fire Tender

B) SPARK STRIKING METHOD = Iron Pyrite (Fools Gold) Against Sharp Flint Stones, evidence to 400,000 years ago. The more modern method is called Flint and Steel Method. We will discuss and may have time with which to experiment.

“RETURN OF THE LIGHT” WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION = We will end the day with a Celebration of the “Return of the Light” as the days begin to get longer.
